Violin Parts

If you are going to play the violin, it's a great idea to know the standard components as well as features of the music instrument. See the picture as well as summaries below.

1. Body - The largest part of the violin is the hollow body. Its primary feature is to amplify the sound of the strings. The body is comprised of the back, tummy (top) and ribs (sides). The body is shaped like a shapely.

2. Neck and fingerboard - The neck is the long item of timber that protrudes from the body. Glued on top of the neck is the fingerboard. This is a smooth flat item of wood where the artist push down on the strings to make notes. Unlike a guitar, the fingerboard on a violin is smooth and also has no stresses.

3. Pegbox - Located above the neck, the pegbox is where the secures are put as well as the strings are attached. The rigidity and also tuning of the strings are changed by the secures in the pegbox.
Scroll - At the top of the violin is the scroll. Its usually sculpted as well as is there mostly for decoration.

4. F-holes - On top of the body and also on each side near the center of the violin are the f-holes. These holes are where the sound of the violin comes out of the body. They are called f-holes since they appear like an f in italics. Transforming the size, shape, and length of these openings can change the sounds of the violin.

5. Bridge - The bridge is a tough piece of timber that the strings lay on top of. It's at the bridge that the strings quit shaking and audio journeys from the strings down right into the body of the violin.

6. Tailpiece - After passing over the bridge the ends of the strings connect to the tailpiece.
Chin remainder - At the base of the body is a chin rest which assists the musician to support the violin with their chin while playing.

7. Strings - The violin has 4 strings all tuned to a fifth apart. They stand for the notes G, D, A, and E.

The Bow

The bow of the violin is made up of the stick as well as the horse hair. The stick offers the bow strength and is where the violinist holds the bow. The steed hair is what is rubbed against the strings to make vibrations as well as audio. The horse hair attaches to the stick at the frog on one end and also the factor on the various other.
